Here’s how to use ShapeShift inside your Pillar Wallet.
1. Open your app and tap the ‘exchange’ button located in your toolbar.
Select ETH as your selling currency, and choose the currency you’d like to buy by using the search bar. Enter how much you’d like to exchange, with a minimum of 0.1 ETH.
2. Select ShapeShift as your chosen exchange service. When prompted, login using your registered email to remotely connect and verify your account.
You will be then redirected to your Pillar Wallet, where you can review and confirm the exchange. If the amount is incorrect, go back a step and re-enter the desired amount. If correct, tap confirm.
Please note all offers are dynamic, meaning that the rate presented is an approximation of the final costs, and the final number might be more or less.
3. View your confirmed transaction and soon your swapped tokens will appear in your ‘Assets’ page.
You can always check the status of your transaction by tapping ‘View on the blockchain’.
The Offers Engine
The Pillar Offers Engine currently ‘pulls in’ offers from all kinds of decentralised exchanges, ensuring that you always remain in full control of your private keys. You’ll be presented with various market rates based on your criteria, allowing you to select the exchange of your choice.
We will soon be turbo-charging the Engine to include offers from decentralised finance (DeFi) services, and in the near future, all kinds of services beyond finance… (read more about this here).
