What This Upgrade Means for Pillar Wallet Users
PillarX is the future, and we want our existing users to come along for the ride. We’ll be rolling out a seamless migration process for Pillar Wallet users to switch to PillarX.
Here’s what’s planned:
- Pillar V2 (the Etherspot-powered smart wallet) will be decommissioned first.
- Pillar V1 (the original Archanova-based wallet) will follow.
- EOAs (key-based wallets) will remain unchanged and will work directly with PillarX. Thanks to EIP-7702, Pillar Wallet users will gain access to smart wallet functionality directly from their EOA (key-based wallet) without the need to get a Smart Wallet themselves.
We’re also preparing exclusive bonuses and incentives for Pillar Wallet users, which is our way of saying thanks for being part of the journey.
